Etymology: Immisch Leipz. Stud. 8, 276 thinks this is an allegro-form of ἀνεμώσας. Thus v. Blumenthal Hesychst. 13 (from drying laundry?). Latte suggests ἅμμωσας from *ἁμμόω from ἅμμα `something tied'.
